About
We make our own soy wax candles and have plenty to share! Frustrated by how expensive and toxic candles from the stores are these days, I took the time to research how to make safer, environmentally-conscious candles with materials sourced from a U.S. company that has clear product labeling. In a world where our families and our friends are in pain because of corporate greed and bottom lines, I am opting out with the only voting power we really have anymore. Our products are made with soy wax with cotton wicks and non-toxic fragrance or essential oils. Here's to being thankful that we can shine a little light out into this world.
Who We Are
As a small child, I was extremely creative, so my mom was constantly finding craft projects for us to work on together. She came home with a DIY candle kit and we poured our own candles. Two decades later, I started candle crafting once again!

FAQ's
Soy wax is a vegetable wax made from the oil of soybeans.
The wick is constructed from natural flat cotton threads. They are lead-free and zinc-free.
Phthalates, or phthalate esters, are esters of Phthalic acid. They are used to dissolve raw materials when making fragrance oils. They have been used for many decades in a myriad of pharmaceuticals, household, and industrial products. Recently, there have been concerns that high levels of Phthalates can cause a host of health issues. It is not clear whether the levels that people encounter cause adverse effects, but it is clear to us that our products would be better if they didn’t pose any such risks.
The fragrance oils we use are a combination of natural essential oils and synthetic aroma chemicals. They are created by Candle Science, Inc. and adhere to the strict Research Institute for Fragrance Materials standard regarding fragrance safety. We select fragrance oils that are phthalate-free and do not require a warning in any state (including California) so they are all non-toxic.
When burning your candles for the first time, it’s helpful to allow the candles to burn for at least 2 hours. This helps the candle wax melt evenly and avoids tunneling down the center of the candle. Always trim the wick before lighting, ideally to ¼”, to prevent your candle from producing any black soot. Make sure your candle is set on a level, heat resistant surface, and never leave a burning candle unattended.
